Pastor Tim talks about the blessings we receive through serving others. Tim looks at the following examples of others from God’s Word;
The Parable of the Good Samaritan in Luke 10:25-37, why would a Samaritan help an injured Jew when Samaritans and Jews generally despised each other? What possible blessing could come from this – Proverbs 19:17?
The Shunemite Woman in 2 Kings 4 who has a Ministry of Hospitality and faith to willingly open her home to those in need like Elisha and extended her hand to the needy to share in the good things God had given her – Proverbs 31:20.
Martha, Mary of Bethany, two sisters who offered hospitality to Jesus and the people traveling with him. Could you imagine the blessing of inviting Jesus to dinner? – Luke 10:38-42.
Priscilla and Aquila stand out as glowing examples of a successful tentmaking ministry after being led to the Lord by the Apostle Paul. Through Paul’s teachings Priscilla and Aquila hear a man named Apollos preaching in the synagogue, Apollos a Jewish traveler who preached of Jesus only knew the baptism of John (Acts 19:4). Aquila and Priscilla recognized this, so they invite Apollos to their home where they taught and helped him understand the correct doctrine – Acts 18:26.
Listen in as Tim finishes by talking about the story of a Pharisee who invites Jesus to dinner and about a Woman who humbles herself to wash the feed of God with her hair.
