SBC – Secret Service Christians – 1 Peter 4:14

Pastor Tim talks about why we should not be ashamed to share the Gospel when the Gospel calls us as Christians to make claims of Truth that has the power to save and transform the souls of men. Tim gives us several reasons in his message why Satan sometimes attempts to seek to shame us into silence. Jesus warns us in the Bible about the consequences of our silence in Mat 10:32-33 that we should try to avoid at any cost. In conclusion, Tim provides some great examples on how to remove the shame we sometimes feel when we need to give an account for the hope that is in us like in 1Peter 3:15. SBC – Preperation through Purification – 1 Peter 2:5

Jason talks about what Peter is saying about the old testament priesthood and how it relates to the royal priesthood today with Christ as our only high priest. He explains, it is important to have clean hands and to maintain a clean heart as believers (Proverbs 4:23-27, Psalm 24:4) because we are given the responsibility to deliver the message, the salvation of people all over the World is partly dependent upon us since we are God’s representatives as part of his royal priesthood, delivering God’s Word so to save lost sinners. That’s part of God’s priesthood today as Believers in Christ.

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of God’s household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” (Ephesians 2:19-22)
