SBC – The Blessing of Giving Thanks – Luke 17:10

Pastor Tim looks at the Miracle of the Ten Lepers and how Jesus answered their request for help. Why did Jesus tell them to go to the temple? Out of these 10 that were healed, why did only one Samaritan man return to give thanks and honor to Jesus? What did the Samaritan realize about Jesus that the other 9 didn’t? What was this man’s reward for his humility? Listen in as Tim answers these questions talks about the doctrinal application for this miracle?

And from the throne came a voice that said, “Praise our God, all his servants, all who fear him, from the least to the greatest. ”Then I heard again what sounded like the shout of a vast crowd or the roar of mighty ocean waves or the crash of loud thunder: “Praise the Lord! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.” Revelation 19:5-6

SBC – Confronting Christians – James 5:19-20

Pastor Tim looks at how to confront Christians that are struggling in faith and how do it without conflict. If you had a good friend who begins to stray from the Lord, what would you say to them? Would you say nothing? Tell the Pastor? Pretend not to notice? or would you pray for an opportunity to speak to them about restoring their faith and relationship with the Lord.

As Tim finishes his series in James, he discusses the last element of prayer that James refers to in James 5:19-20 of spiritual healing. He answers some tough questions about why a person might loose their faith, the dangers of wondering from the Lord, turning back to truth, why sin can be a terminal disease if not dealt with, dangers of walking with complacent friends, dating unbelievers and most importantly why other Christians must confront others. James 1:15, Rev 3:11. Listen in…

If you know someone today who is wondering or struggling like this man in the illustration above, pray for an opportunity to confront them today before they slip too far. When you help someone, a life that was wasted can be saved. “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise”.  Proverb 11:30

SBC – Red Letter Relationships – 2 Cor 6:14-15

Pastor Dan talks about how important the CMR camp ministry has been to lead young campers to Christ. This ministry succeeds because of the workshops that have been implemented to properly instruct leaders on purity, relationships and witnessing.  He explains why relationships are so important from the beginning and why boundaries need to be set when it comes to Dating and Marriage. Dan finishes by reading a letter from his daughter who explains her relationship and yoking up with a believer she chose to commit her life too as Paul mentions in 2 Cor 6:14-15.

SBC – Privilege and Power of Prayer – James 5:13

Wouldn’t it be a privilege to talk with someone important today like the President and have them listen to your ideas about making things better? Actually we all have even a greater privilege than that… God created us to have fellowship with Him in the beginning. Unfortunately, that fellowship was broken in the Garden of Eden because of sin, but God wanted that fellowship restored by sending His Son Jesus to die in our place to pay for our sins. This restored fellowship is through the privilege and power of prayer that He has given to all as a release for Sorrow and Joy.

James tells us here in James 5:13, if anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.” God wants to hear about all your burdens and joys today. Listen in as Pastor Tim presents a message from James on the privilege to pray and to restore and maintain a strong relationship with God. We cannot do it on our own without God and the help of other believers as per the illustration below. God has provided us an open communication link on a frequency only God hears, try it sometime, it’s free and effective especially when you’re sincere…

SBC – What if Jesus didn’t Rise? – 1 Cor 15:13

Pastor Tim talks about different world events and how they could have changed the world as we know it, if they would have happened differently. He compares these significant events with the resurrection of Christ, so what if Jesus didn’t rise from the dead? Listen in as Tim describes Jesus’ great claim while living here and the importance of the resurrection and how this event not only split Time, but proved that God has the power to raise believers from the dead. It guarantees that those who believe in Christ will not remain dead, but will be resurrected unto eternal life. That is our blessed hope! Such hope and assurance results in a great song of triumph as Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:55; “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

“Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me” John 14:6. In the Gospel of John 14:8-11 Philip also said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.” Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak on my own authority, but the Father who dwells in me does his works. Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else believe on account of the works themselves.”

SBC – Welcome for the Messiah – Mat 21:1

Pastor Tim talks about 3 important topics for Palm Sunday as he looks at a Welcome for the Messiah.

1) Demonstration He was the Messiah
. Why did Jesus come publicly into Jerusalem?
. What were the three miracles related to the Donkey He picked to ride into Jerusalem    Luke 19:30, Zec 9:9?

2)  Declaration of the Multitude
. Why were thousands of people lined up in the streets of Jerusalem, did they know Jesus was coming?
. Did they recognize Him as a King and the Messiah as He rode into town?
. What was the people’s expectation and was it the same as Jesus’?

3) Denunciation of the Messiah
. Now that Jesus has cleansed His house He begins healing others, what was the response of the chief priests and scribes to this?
. Why was it mainly just the Children who realized that there was something genuine about the Messiah?

“After this I saw a vast crowd, too great to count, from every nation and tribe and people and language, standing in front of the throne and before the Lamb. They were clothed in white robes and held palm branches in their hands.” Rev 7:9
